Low Price Shares locked in Upper Circuit on 12-october-2022

On Wednesday, in the noon session, the benchmark indices were trading higher with Sensex rising 250 points and Nifty gaining around 70 points. 

At 11.50 pm, BSE Sensex was trading at 57,402.46 level, 0.45% higher whereas Nifty was trading at 17,052.80 level, 0.41% higher. The stocks of Power Grid Corporation, HCL Technologies, Axis Bank, M&M and NTPC were the top Sensex gainers whereas Asian Paints, ICICI Bank, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories and Bharti Airtel were the top Sensex losers.

On the sectoral front, all sectors traded marginally lower with the IT, Metal and Auto Stocks on the lead. APL Apollo Tubes, Coal India and NMDC were the top three metal stocks lifting up the BSE Metal index. Meanwhile, at noon, the broader markets also gained in the trade as Nifty MidCap 100 and Nifty SmallCap 100 traded 0.4% higher.

Among individual stocks, the shares of HCL Technologies surged over 2% ahead of their September quarter results. Also, the shares of Suzlon Energy zoomed over 2% post securing the company secured a 144.9 MW order from the Aditya Birla Group. The shares of footwear companies were seen trading higher with the shares of Liberty Shoes and Campus Activewear making new highs on the BSE in Wednesday’s intra-day trade owing to a healthy business outlook.
