The following small-cap stocks have made fresh 52-week high today – Gufic Biosciences, Oricon Enterprises, La Opala RG, Polyplex Corporation, Hitech Corporation, Jindal Poly Films and PG Electroplast.

Indian equity markets continued their gaining streak on Wednesday. Benchmark indices Nifty 50 and Sensex ended in the green territory with gains of 1.71% and 1.76% respectively. Nifty Bank index climbed 1.82% i.e. 666.30 points to close at 37,284.70. Nifty Small-cap 100 index jumped 1.83%, to close the session at 11,024.25.

BCL Industries – The company has recently informed the exchange that it has performed the groundbreaking ceremony (Bhoomi Pujan) of its brownfield distillery plant expansion in Bhatinda, Punjab on 7 December 2021 for setting up another state-of-the-art plant having an installed production capacity of 200 kilolitres per day of ethanol and 10 MW of power co-generation.

The total capital expenditure that will be incurred for the project will be Rs 172 crore for which the financial closure has been completed with Canara Bank, which will sanction a loan of Rs 120 crore and disbursements of the loan have thereof also started for ordering the equipment. The company had timely applied and qualified for the interest subvention scheme, which would make the applicable interest rate for the loan around 4%.

Dishman Carbogen Amcis – The company has announced that it has achieved successful results from the partnership with Boston University School of Medicine on Clinical Research Study that reveals positive response in vitamin D deficiency/insufficiency in patients with COVID-19. The study showed that patients receiving the 25-hydroxy metabolite had, in comparison to those receiving a placebo, demonstrably more favourable development of their immunological defence against COVID-19.
