Last Updated: 9th December 2022 - 09:09 am
With markets being quite volatile, investing in companies with sound financials makes sense. In this article, we would be listing top smallcap stocks having high Piotroski scores.
Today, S&P BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 opened flat pressure weighed by banking, financial services and FMCG sectors. On the flip side, the metal sector outperformed its counterparts accredited to mixed global cues. As the crude oil prices jump to USD 110 a barrel amid the Russia-Ukraine war, investors are trading cautiously.
After the first 30 minutes of the trade, S&P BSE Sensex was trading up by 0.14% at 57,945. Said that at the time of writing the day’s high and low of S&P BSE Sensex was at 58,128 and 57,570, respectively.
The markets now would consolidate until any major development is witnessed in the geopolitical tension between Russia and Ukraine. However, markets still hold the downwards bias as it made a lower low on February 24, 2022, and is still far away from the swing high of 18,351. Moreover, it failed to surpass the levels of 17,300 which is also its 61.8% Fibonacci retracement level. Having said that, it makes complete sense to gradually accumulate stocks with sound financials and nothing better than looking at companies with high Piotroski score.
