The month of November can be seen as a correction month as the Sensex dipped by about 3.8% in the month. Since Sensex had crossed the mark of 60,000 points, it had been a subject of concern for many. Some believed the bull rally had just started, but many said the expectations were spurious. The stock specific price multiples were sky high, and the IPOs never budged to reap the benefits.

Macrotech Developers:

This realty firm which markets its properties under the brand name ‘Lodha’, has created a fresh 52-week high of Rs 1538.65 on the BSE. The sharp bull rally was driven by fundraising for growth. It raised Rs 4000 crore through the qualified institutional placement (QIP) process. It will be used to fund debt of Rs 1000 crore and for business growth.

Apollo Hospitals Enterprise:

This private healthcare business, which is also India’s first corporate hospital, delivered healthy returns to its shareholders in November. The firm’s strong Q2 results and the optimism of the management have driven the stock from Rs 4260.85 to Rs 5692.65. The stock is trading near the P/E level of 104.

IndusInd Bank:

The stock fell in November from Rs 1140 to Rs 883.6. Analysts believe the poor communication in corporate governance matters and under-provisioning has led to the downfall in the stock. There had also been a technical glitch in the system wherein inadvertent disbursements were made to 84,000 accounts, without customer consent.
