List of top 5 gainers and losers in the midcap and smallcap segment for the week from September 02 to 08, 2022.
Amid volatility, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex recouped some of the earlier losses as it gained 1.5% or 885 points during the week and closed at 59,688.22 on September 08, 2022.
The broader market also closed stronger during the week with S&P BSE Mid Cap closing up by 1.7% at 25,894.23. The S&P BSE Small Cap also ended at 29,474 higher by 674 points or 2.3%.

The biggest gainer in the midcap segment for the week was Angel One Ltd. Shares of the broking firm rose steeply to 34.35% for the week from the levels of Rs 1327.95 to Rs 1597.20. The company has released its key business parameters for the month August 2022. The client base of the company stood at 11.18 million which saw YoY growth of 81.9% while MoM growth was 4%. Angel One’s Average Daily Turnover (ADTO) stood at Rs 12389 billion which was 117.9% higher than the same period last year and MoM growth was logged at 20.1%. However, the market share of Retail Turnover shrunk by 18 bps on a YoY and 44bps MoM basis.

Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Limited, along with Tata Teleservices Limited, spearheads the Tata Group’s presence in the telecommunication sector.

The price correction came in after a rally of 40% in the month of August, logging a fresh 52-week high of Rs 269.75 on August 30. Banco Products (India) Ltd manufactures and supplies engine cooling modules and systems for automotive and industrial applications in both the domestic and international markets.
