List of top 5 gainers and losers in the Midcap and Smallcap segment for the week from March 17 to 24 , 2022.

As nervousness loomed largely, the ongoing war and its far-reaching socio-economic impact persisted in the market sentiments. UN downgraded India’s projected GDP growth from 6.7% to 4.6% in line with most economies barring a few South & West Asian oil-producing countries. Back home, Fuel rates were hiked by Rs 2.40 per litre in a span of four days after being held steady for four months. Amid much volatility, benchmark indices BSE Sensex closed up 1.38% or 779 points at 57595.68 while Nifty 50 gained 97 points or 0.59% and closed at 16594.90.

The broader market also witnessed volatility with S&P BSE Mid Cap closing at 23875.61 up 1.28% or 302 points for the week. The S&P BSE Small Cap closed at 27892.67 up 1.85% or 509 points.

The shares of the adtech company were locked in upper circuit of 5% for last 10 consecutive sessions. The highly volatile stock has logged a 52-week high and low of Rs 122.88 and 3.49.

One of the largest housing finance companies in South India in terms of AUM, it got listed in August 2021. At yesterday’s closing price it is trading close to its listing price of Rs 329.95. The stock logged its till date high and low of Rs 394.95 and Rs 283, both in the month of February 2022.

It further zoomed 10.36% yesterday to finally close for the week at Rs 279.75.

The shares of the fintech company tumbled 10.43% on March 22 in anticipation of the outcomes of its EGM held on that day. The board resolved to convert 1,09,55, 555 CCD into equity shares to the promoter group Wilson Holdings Pvt Ltd in the ratio of 1:1. Upon dilution, the promoter holding stands at 65.14% in the company.
