AstraZeneca, Bank of Baroda, and Central Bank of India have witnessed volume burst in the last 75 minutes of the trade.

As the saying goes, the first, as well as the last hour of each trading session, is the most important and active in terms of price & volume.

More so, the activity in the last hour is said to be of utmost importance because most of the pro-traders and institutions are active at this time. Hence, when a stock sees a good spike in volume in the last leg of the trade along with price rise, it is considered a pro, and institutions have a keen interest in the stock. Market participants should keep a close watch on these stocks as they can witness good momentum in the short to medium-term.

So, based on this principle, we have shortlisted three stocks that have witnessed volume burst in the last leg of the trade along with price rise.

AstraZeneca: The stock surged about 4% on Wednesday. It traded positively throughout the day and gained strong momentum towards the end. It surged nearly 3% in the last 765 minutes of the trade and recorded above average volume during the process. The stock recorded volume greater than 10-day, 30-day and 50-day average volumes, thus indicating strong trading activity. With such positivity, we expect thew s tock to be traded heavily in times to come.

Bank of Baroda: The stock traded flat for most part od the sessions. However, it jumped nearly 3% in the last hour and recorded huge volume. About 50% of the day’s volume was recorded during this period. Thus, with such huge buying interest, we can expect the stock to be trending higher in near future.

Central Bank of India: The stock soared over 4% today. Towards the end, the stock gained nearly 4% in the last 75 minutes. During this period, strong volumes were recorded which can be attributed to institutional buying interest.  The stock closed at day’s high and we expect the stock to continue rallying in times to come with heavy volumes.
