CCL Products, Cummins India, and ICIL have witnessed volume burst in the last 75 minutes of the trade.
As the saying goes, the first, as well as the last hour of each trading session, is the most important and active in terms of price & volume.
More so, the activity in the last hour is said to be of utmost importance because most of the pro-traders and institutions are active at this time. Hence, when a stock sees a good spike in volume in the last leg of the trade along with price rise, it is considered a pro, and institutions have a keen interest in the stock. Market participants should keep a close watch on these stocks as they can witness good momentum in the short to medium-term.
So, based on this principle, we have shortlisted three stocks that have witnessed volume burst in the last leg of the trade along with price rise.
CCL Products: The stock gained 3.15% at the end of the day. It traded positive for most of the day and witnessed strong upside momentum towards the end. It surged higher by about 1.5% in the last 75 minutes of the trade. This price action was accompanied by above-average volume, which indicates strong trading activity. Moreover, the stock has recorded nearly twice the previous day’s volume and thus, it is expected to be traded heavier for a few more days with a positive bias.
Cummins India: The stock soared 3.35% on Wednesday. It continued its uptrend rally and volumes continued to rise. About 70% of the total day’s volume was recorded in the last hour of the trade, indicating strong institutional activity. It has hit an all-time high and is likely to be traded heavily in times to come.
ICIL: The stock soared 3.71% since yesterday’s close. After a decent gap-up, it traded lower, but the last hour saw huge buying interest as it rallied over 2.5%. Over 50% of the total day’s volume was recorded in the final 75 minutes. Moreover, the volume is found to be greater than the 10-day, 30-day, and 50-day average volume. With such positive sentiment, the stock is likely to perform better in upcoming trading sessions.
