Last Updated: 4th November 2022 - 04:54 pm
DCB Bank, NHPC and Ceat Limited witnessed a volume burst in the last 75 minutes of the trade.
As the saying goes, the first, as well as the last hour of each trading session, is the most important and active in terms of price & volume.
More so, the activity in the last hour is said to be of utmost importance because most of the pro-traders and institutions are active at this time. Hence, when a stock sees a good spike in volume in the last leg of the trade along with price rise, it is considered a pro, and institutions have a keen interest in the stock. Market participants should keep a close watch on these stocks as they can witness good momentum in the short to medium-term.
So, based on this principle, we have shortlisted three stocks that have witnessed volume burst in the last leg of the trade along with price rise.
DCB Bank: The stock soared 7.25% on Friday. It traded positively throughout the day and registered strong volumes in the last hour. About 50% of the total day’s volume was recorded during this period and the stock was able to close at the day’s high. Interestingly, the stock registered a 6-week cup pattern breakout on the technical chart. It is expected to be trading higher with strong buying interest in the upcoming days as well.
NHPC: The scrip surged 5.57% in Friday’s trading session. It witnessed a strong bounce from lower levels and closed at the day’s high. The volumes rose for the fourth consecutive day, which is a positive buying indication. Also, over 92 lakh shares were traded in the last 75 minutes, which is also one of the highest in many days. Thus, we expect it to test further levels with above-average volumes in times to come.
Ceat Limited: The stock made a strong run towards the end as it soared nearly 5% along with heavy volumes. In the last hour, the stock jumped nearly 3%, aided by institutional buying. The volume was found to be greater than the 10-day and 30-day average volume. It closed above all its key moving averages and is likely to stay positive with active trading.
