Bandhan Bank, Coal India, and Hindustan Copper have witnessed volume burst in the last 75 minutes of the trade.

As the saying goes, the first and the last hour of each trading session is the most important and active in terms of price and volume. More so, the activity in the last hour is said to be of utmost importance because most of the pro traders and institutions are active at this time. Hence, when a stock sees a good spike in volume in the last leg of trade along with price rise it is said to be the pro and institutions have a keen interest in the stock. Market participants should keep a close watch on these stocks as they can witness good momentum in the short-medium term.

So, based on this principle we have shortlisted three stocks, which have witnessed volume burst in the last leg of trade along with price rise.

Bandhan Bank: The stock closed marginally lower despite good market sentiment. However, what it witnessed in the last 75 minutes was a huge volume burst that propelled the stock over 3%. It traded lower throughout the day and then shot up towards the end. With this huge movement came huge volume, as over 50% of the total day’s volume was recorded in this period. The stock ended at a day’s high and thus, it is expected to be trading on the higher side in times to come.

Coal India Limited: The stock surged as much as 6% and was the top gainer of Nifty today. The stock traded firmly in green and gained even more power towards the end. The stock scaled higher by nearly 2% in the last hour and ended the day on a high note. The price action was backed by increasing volumes which indicates the bullish nature of the stock. The stock showed no signs of weakness the entire day with above-average volume recorded, the stock is expected to be actively trading for the coming days

Hindustan Copper Limited: The stock rose about 2.45% on Monday’s trading session. The stock traded flat to negative the entire day and then witnessed huge buying momentum in the last hour of the session. The buying was so heavy that it surged as much as 3.5% in the last hour. Along with this, more than 50% of the total day’s volume was recorded during this period which indicates institutional buying. Because of such price action and good volumes, we can expect the stock to continue the same momentum on the higher side.
