Tata Motors DVR, RVNL and Granules India have witnessed a volume burst in the last 75 minutes of the trade.

As the saying goes, the first and the last hour of each trading session is the most important and active in terms of price and volume. More so, the activity in the last hour is said to be of utmost importance because most of the pro traders and institutions are active at this time. Hence, when a stock sees a good spike in volume in the last leg of trade along with price rise it is said to be the pro and institutions have a keen interest in the stock. Market participants should keep a close watch on these stocks as they can witness good momentum in the short-medium term.

So, based on this principle we have shortlisted three stocks, which have witnessed volume burst in the last leg of trade along with price rise.

Tata Motors DVR: The stock has been in a strong uptrend, having soared over nearly 20% in the past 4 trading sessions. Today, it jumped over 5%, with most of the gains being recorded in the last hour. The volumes continue to remain elevated, as strong buying sentiment propelled the stock above all key levels. The volume has risen for the third straight day, which shows a rising participation level. We expect the stock to be traded heavily with a positive bias in times to come.

RVNL: The scrip soared 4.56% on Thursday backed by huge volume. It traded flat for most of the day but shot up in the last 75 minutes. It zoomed as much as 3% during this period backed by massive volume. About 60% of the total day’s volume was recorded during this period. The stock closed nearly at the day’s high and is expected to be trading strongly higher in the near term.

Granules India: Granules registered a breakout from its consolidation pattern with strong volumes. It surged over 4% today and closed at the day’s high. The volume was found to be greater than the 10-day and 30-day average volume. With such active trading and a bullish breakout, the stock is likely to be on the trader’s radar in the upcoming days.
