On Thursday, the core equity indices ended higher owing to positive global cues as the Chinese stock markets were up by almost 2%.
At market close on Thursday, the Sensex was at 52,25.72, up by 443.19 points or 0.86% and the Nifty 50 closed at 15,556.65, up by 143.35 points or 0.93%.
The top trending stocks on the BSE were Chambal fertilizers and Chemicals, Axis Bank, Maruti Suzuki, TCs, KEC International and IndusInd Bank.

Bajaj Auto Limited: The board of Bajaj Auto is scheduled to meet on Monday, 27 June 2022, to further deliberate on the proposal for the buyback of fully paid-up equity shares of the company.
The company's board earlier met on 14 June 2022, to consider the share buyback. However, the proposal was deferred as board decided that further deliberations were required for the proposed buyback. The shares of Bajaj Auto ended higher by 4.22%, on the BSE.
Vodafone Idea Limited: Vodafone Group Plc will infuse an additional Rs 436 crore into Vodafone Idea (Vi) through equity shares or warrants. The fund-raise was approved in a board meeting on Wednesday. This is the second capital raise by the company in two months after the Rs 4,500 crore infusion by the promoters, Vodafone Group Plc and the Aditya Birla group. The latest capital raise comes ahead of the auction of 5G spectrum airwaves. Vodafone Idea will issue 42.7 million shares or warrants to a promoter group entity at an issue price of Rs 10.20 per share, aggregating to Rs 436.21 crore, the company said in a notification. The promoters own a 74.99% stake in Vodafone Idea. This will get reduced to 50% after the issuance of a 33% stake to the government. The shares of the company ended 0.23% higher, on the BSE.
Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited: BPCL has received approval from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs for the amalgamation of Bharat Oman Refineries with itself. The scheme of amalgamation will be made effective both by filing a copy of the order of the ministry with the jurisdictional registrar of companies. The shares of BPCL ended 0.64% higher on the BSE.
