At market close on Thursday the Sensex was at 58,926.03 up by 460.06 points or 0.79% and the Nifty was at 17,605.85 up by 142.05 points or 0.81%.
On the BSE, 1529 shares have advanced, 1819 shares have declined and 100 shares remain unchanged.
These stocks are likely to be in focus for Friday's trading session –
Mahindra & Mahindra Limited: On a consolidated basis, the sales rose 9.10% to Rs 23594.46 crore in the quarter ended December 2021 as against Rs 21625.95 crore during the previous quarter ended December 2020. The profit before tax was at Rs 3210.73 as against Rs 1685.51 crores in the same quarter last year. Net profit of Mahindra & Mahindra rose 182.15% to Rs 1987.44 crore in the quarter ended December 2021 as against Rs 704.39 crore during the previous quarter ended December 2020. The shares of M&M were up by 1.49% at Rs 853.10 at market close on the BSE.
Hindalco Industries Limited: The revenue rose by 43.8 % to Rs 50,272 crore as compared to Rs 34,958 in Q3FY21. The Operating profit was at Rs 5198 crore as against Rs 2829 crore for the same period last year. The PAT rose to a record high of Rs 3675 crore in Q3FY22 with a 95.8% rise compared to Q3FY21. The shares of Hindalco were up by 0.92% at Rs 547.35 on the BSE.
Page Industries Limited: The Q3FY22 sales of the company were at Rs 1189.8 crore as compared to Rs 927.6 crore in Q3FY21. The operating profit was at Rs 2334.3 in Q3FY22 from Rs 2072.6 crore in the same quarter last year. The net profit rose by 12.2% to Rs 174.8 crore compared to Rs 155.83 crore in the previous year‘s quarter. The scrip was down by 3.82% at Rs 40,775 4.45% on the BSE.
52-week high stocks – From the BSE 500 pack, the stocks of Hindalco, TV18 Broadcast, Mahindra Lifespace Developers, GNFC, and NALCO also have hit their 52-week high on Thursday.
