On Monday, the headline indices Sensex and Nifty 50, opened 2% higher, owing to the merger of the HDFC twins, which made investors happy on the first day of the week. Also, the global markets are showing positive cues.
The Sensex was at 60,611.74 up by 1,335.05 points or 2.25% and the Nifty was at 18,053.40 up by 382.95 points or 2.17%.
On the BSE, 2,678 shares have advanced, 850 shares have declined, and 144 shares are unchanged.
These stocks are likely to be in focus for Tuesday's trading session:
Tata Power Limited: Tata Power Renewables Energy Ltd (TPREL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tata Power has commissioned a 300 MW project in Dholera, Gujarat. It is India’s largest single-axis solar tracker system. The project will generate 774 MUs annually. Along with this, it will reduce approximately 704340 MT/year of carbon emission. The installation entails 873012 nos. of Monocrystalline PV Modules. The project was commissioned well within the stipulated timeline.
Tata Power managed customized installation, basis the geographical locations and land conditions. The scrip of Tata Power was up by 0.80% on the BSE.
Indian Oil Corporation Limited: In a bid to enable India’s decarbonization push, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., (Indian Oil), Larsen & Toubro (L&T), and ReNew Power (“ReNew”) have announced the signing of a binding term sheet for the formation of a Joint Venture (JV) company to develop the nascent green hydrogen sector in India. The tripartite venture is a synergistic alliance that brings together the strong credentials of L&T in designing, executing, and delivering EPC projects, Indian Oil's established expertise in petroleum refining along with its presence across the energy spectrum, and the expertise of ReNew in offering and developing utility-scale renewable energy solutions. The stocks of IOC surged by 0.63% to end at Rs 1677.05 on the BSE.
Tata Consultancy Services Limited: Tata Consultancy Services has helped Stellantis, a world-leading automaker, and mobility provider, transform the customer experience journey with a more streamlined and personalized sales and service experience across channels. The automaker, whose brands include Fiat, Jeep, RAM, Peugeot, and Citroën, wanted to modernize its legacy customer relationship management applications that needed the flexibility to respond to changing business models. The shares of TCS were at Rs 155.70, up by 1.50% at market close on the BSE.
52-week high stocks: From the BSE 200 pack, the stocks of Bajaj holdings, Adani Green Energy, Adani Total Gas, Adani Power, Vedanta, Jindal Steel, and Adani Enterprises have hit their 52-week high on Monday.
