The top 5 gainers of Sensex were NTPC, SBI, Power Grid Corporation, Axis Bank, and Kotak Mahindra Bank. On the flip side, the top 5 losers were UltraTech Cement, HCL Technologies, Infosys, IndusInd Bank, and Wipro.
The Nifty Midcap 100 index is trading at 30,884 and is up by 0.31%. The top 3 gainers of the index were Coromandel International, Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail, and Hindustan Zinc. Each of these scrips was up by 2.5%. Similarly, the top 3 stocks dragging the index were Mindtree, Aarti Industries, and Laurus Laboratories.
The Nifty Smallcap 100 index is trading at 11,414, down by 0.03%. The top 3 gainers of the index were Affle India, Balrampur Chini Mills, and CSB Bank. Each of these scrips was up by more than 8%. The top 3 stocks dragging the index were Carborundum Universal, KEC International, and Shilpa Healthcare.
Nifty IT, Nifty Metal, and Nifty Pharma seem to drag in the afternoon session as well.
On the other hand, Nifty Healthcare and Nifty Consumer Durables were up by more than 3% each.
