The frontline equity indices i.e, Sensex and Nifty 50 were up by almost 0.75%, regaining levels from the last trading session. The Sensex was at 60,145, up by 400 points and the Nifty was up by 120 points at 17,832 levels, respectively.

The top five gainers of Nifty 50 were Maruti Suzuki, UPL, Hero MotoCorp, ITC, and Infosys. The top five stocks pulling down the index included Wipro, Asian Paints, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Divis Laboratories, and Nestle India.
BSE Midcap index is trading at 25,614, up by 0.56%. The top three gainers of the index include Adani Power, SJVN, and GMR Infrastructure. Each of these scrips was up by more than 6%. The top three stocks dragging the index include PI Industries, Info Edge (India), and Cholamandalam Investment and Fin Co.
BSE Smallcap index is trading at 30,329, up by 1%. The top three gainers are Kitex Garments, Kellton Tech Solutions, and Vascon Engineers. Each of these stocks gained more than 14%. The top three stocks pulling the index down include Shriram EPC, GTL Infrastructure, and Hikal.
On the sectoral front, all the indices on the BSE opened in the green with a gain of over 1% in all of them. Leading the bullish run were BSE IT, BSE Auto, BSE Teck, and BSE Realty.
