On February 24, the main indices in India closed lower for the sixth straight day, with the Sensex dropping 141.87 points or 0.24% to end at 59,463.93 and the Nifty closing at 17,465.80, down 45.50 points or 0.26%.
The HDFC twins, banking, and IT companies caused Indian market indices to end the day in the red for the sixth straight day on Friday, matching the majority of their Asian counterparts.
The Nifty's biggest losers included Adani Enterprises, Hindalco Industries, M&M, JSW Steel, and Tata Steel, while winners included Divi's Laboratories, Adani Ports, Asian Paints, Coal India, and Dr Reddy's Laboratories.

NBCC: The business announced to the public that it has granted a Rs 350 crore Project Management Consultant (PMC) contract for the development and upkeep of various buildings at the Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT), Allahabad.
Gravita India: The business disclosed that its step-down subsidiary, Gravita Holland BV, had signed an MOU to build a recycling facility in Oman. In the middle eastern market, this will be Gravita's first recycling facility. The approximate total investment in this joint venture for Phase 1 will be Rs 40 crore, of which Rs 20 crore will come from GNBV as its contribution towards its share of fixed capital and working capital.
Star Housing Finance: As part of its objective to broaden its distribution network and strengthen its presence in rural and semi-urban areas across the nation, the firm today told the exchange that it has launched a new branch in Jalgaon, Maharashtra, India. The shares of Star Housing Finance soared by 5.5% on the back of this news and closed at Rs 49.80 per share.
