2,000 Clients Join On February 25

NSE International Exchange (NSE IX) enrolled 2,000 clients on February 25, 2026, the first day of the soft launch of its Global Access platform, MD and CEO V. Balasubramaniam said at the Global Securities Markets Conclave 2.0.

The Global Access platform is operated through its subsidiary, NSE IX Global Access, and enables Indian investors to access international markets beginning with U.S. stocks. The U.S. market went live first in the soft launch phase, with testing done for about 10 days before general partner onboarding, as reported at the event.

The platform allows digital onboarding through a 30-second video KYC process and offers fractional investing in equities and exchange-traded funds. It provides browser and mobile-based access and is aimed at resident retail investors and non-resident Indians investing under the Liberalised Remittance Scheme framework.

Balasubramaniam stated that additional global markets will be added over the next three to six months, with a target of offering access to more than 30 international markets.

GIFT City Operations And Market Share

NSE IX operates from GIFT City in Gujarat and holds over 99% market share in trading and incremental business at the International Financial Services Centre, according to statements made at the conclave.

The exchange also announced the listing of what it described as Asia’s first blue bond on its platform. This follows the listing of an international green bond from Sri Lanka in the previous year, as cited during the address.
Cross-Border Listings And Agreements

Balasubramaniam said the exchange is set to receive its first foreign equity listing from Cyprus. The company, identified as Ellinas Finance, is expected to undertake a secondary listing in early March 2026. The development follows a memorandum of understanding signed with the Colombo Stock Exchange and engagements during the Prime Minister’s visit to Cyprus, according to remarks at the event.

With the Global Access platform operational and additional markets planned, NSE IX has formally initiated its outbound investment offering while continuing to expand its inbound listing and bond activity at GIFT City.
