Nandita Sinha: The guiding force for Myntra

Nandita Sinha took the reins of the company from Amar Nagaram, the former chief executive who left to pursue his own entrepreneurial venture.
On 1st January 2022, Nandita Sinha took over the position of CEO of Myntra, the Walmart-owned online fashion retailer. Before joining Myntra, she worked with Flipkart for 8 years, where she held the position of Vice President, Customer Growth and Marketing. Prior to that, she was also associated with Hindustan Unilever Ltd and Britannia Industries Ltd.
Apart from this, she also co-founded MyBabyCart.com, an e-commerce site, where she her focus lied on driving revenue and customer growth.
While working with Flipkart, she took over multiple roles and worked across categories such as beauty & personal care, books and general merchandise, home and furniture. Moreover, in this new role, she is required to report to the Flipkart Group CEO, Kalyan Krishnamurthy.
Why Nandita Sinha?
Justifying her appointment to this position, Flipkart Group CEO said that as the forerunner of several innovations and unique consumer experiences, their aspirations continue to grow for Myntra as a separate company.
“I am certain that with her strong background in driving businesses and an acute focus on customer-centricity, Nandita (Sinha) will be instrumental in defining the next phase of Myntra’s evolution as its CEO” he added.
Talking about her plans at Myntra in an interview with Economic Times, she said that personalization, influencer-led live commerce, beauty and personal care will be the key focus areas for Myntra's leadership team.
As per the interview, the newly appointed CEO said that Myntra intends on building and strengthening its team with a focus on fashion and technology. And that priority is to push internal talent.
On academic qualifications, Nandita Sinha has an MBA in Marketing & Strategy from FMS Delhi and is a BTech Graduate from IIT BHU.
The qualifications, coupled with the right experience, make Nandita Sinha the apt choice for leading Myntra in the position of Chief Executive Officer.
