Low Price Shares locked in Upper Circuit on May 13

Indian benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty 50 were trading upwards amid positive global sentiments.
As per the Index of Industrial Production (IIP), India’s Industrial growth has jumped to 1.9% in March from 1.5% in February, data released on May 12 by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation showed. On the other side, in early trade, the Rupee recovered and traded at 77.31 against the US Dollar.

At 11:45 am, the market strength was good as 2527 equities increased on the BSE, whereas 636 declined. There were a total of 122 shares that remained unchanged. There were a total of 234 stocks that were locked in the upper circuit whereas 174 were in their lower circuit. In the case of domestic indices, the Sensex was trading at a level of 53,654.02, up by 1.37%, and the Nifty 50 was trading at 16,041.75, jumped by 1.48%.
BSE Midcap index was trading at a level of 22,177.55, surging by 2.46%. The top gainers of the index were RBL Bank (10.76%), Indraprastha Gas Ltd (6.99%) and Ashok Leyland Ltd (6.09%). The top stocks dragging the index down were Honeywell Automation India Ltd, Emami Ltd and ACC Ltd.
BSE Smallcap index was trading at 25,580.54, up by 2.34%. The top gainers were SEPC Ltd, Rattan India Enterprises Ltd and Matrimony.com Ltd. All of these stocks jumped by more than 15%. The top stocks pulling the index down were Hatsun Agro Products Ltd, TV Today Network Ltd and HLE Glasscoat Ltd. All of these stocks fell by more than 8%.
