Low Price Shares locked in Upper Circuit on May 02

At 11:15 am on Monday, headline indices Sensex and Nifty were trading downwards, as the global markets were also trading on the same lines amid high inflation and adverse financial conditions.
The market strength was very poor as 1072 equities increased on the BSE, whereas 2174 declined. There were a total of 174 shares that remained unchanged.
In the morning session, BSE Sensex was trading at a level of 56,655.47. BSE Midcap also tanked and was trading at 24,188.03 levels. BSE Smallcap index too fell and traded at the level of 28,321.88. Very few stocks were trading in green. Top gaining stocks on BSE Sensex were IndusInd Bank, NTPC Ltd and PowerGrid Corporation of India. And, top losers were Wipro Ltd, Asian Paints and State Bank of India.
Nifty 50 index has fallen and was trading at 16,970.65 levels. The gaining stocks on Nifty 50 were IndusInd Bank, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd and Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd. On the other hand, stocks dragging the index include Wipro Ltd, Apollo Hospitals and Eicher Motors Ltd.
The Nifty Midcap index was trading at 29,612.40 levels. The top three gainers of the index were Tata Chemicals, The Indian Hotels Ltd and Aurobindo Pharma Ltd. The Nifty Smallcap index was trading at 10,127.75 levels. The top three gainers of the index were Can Fin Homes Ltd, Amber Enterprises and KEI Industries Ltd.
