Low Price Shares locked in Upper Circuit on Jun 08

Indices trade in a range with gains witnessed in the realty sector. After a weak opening, Indian benchmark indices rose following a 50 basis points rate hike by RBI. Reserve Bank revised the inflation projection for FY23 to 6.7% from 5.7% and the GDP forecast was retained at 7.2%.

Bank advised E-mandate on cards for recurring payments and also the limit increased from Rs 5,000 to Rs 15,000 per transaction. All credit cards can now be linked to UPI. The Central Bank also announced additional measures for cooperative banks.
At 11:45 am, the Indian benchmark indicator Sensex was trading at a level of 55,169.92, up by 0.11%. The top gainers of Sensex were State Bank of India, Bajaj Finance and Tata Steel Ltd. The Nifty 50 was trading at 16,444.75, advanced by 0.17%. The top-performing companies were State Bank of India, Bajaj Finance and Coal India.
The market strength was good as 1,798 equities increased on the BSE, whereas 1,315 declined, and 123 shares remained unchanged. Around 156 stocks are locked in the upper circuit, whereas 119 were in their lower circuit. Most of the sectoral indices were trading sideways whereas BSE Realty surged over 2% being the top gaining sector.
