Categories wise shares which attracted domestic mutual fund in the month of January 2022

Many of us keep looking for ideas to invest and one of the ways we find is what smart investors or institutional investors are doing. Domestic mutual funds disclose their portfolio every month and that remains one of the places from where we look for stock ideas. So, let’s know the stocks where domestic mutual fund managers invested most in the month of January 2022.

In January 2022, financial and information technology were the sectors where most of the investment was attracted by domestic fund managers. These two sectors were on the top of the fund managers’ buying list.

The above table shows that in January 2022, among large cap, mutual funds preferred the financial sector including banks. In the top ten, there are five companies from the financial sector including some of the largest names in the industry. The total approximate buying done in the financial sector in large cap in these five stocks is around Rs 7752 crore in the month of January 2022.

The trend is not different for Mid-Cap stocks. Even among mid-cap fund managers financials remain the favourite of mutual funds. There are four companies in the top 10 that are from the financial sector.
