The Indian benchmark indices were trading higher with BSE Industrials Index shining among all the sectoral indices, up by 0.85%.
On a day of festivities, the benchmark indices were trading higher with Sensex up around 160 points or 0.28% at 58,234.46, and the Nifty trading up by 55 points or 0.31% at 17,161.95.
Top Gainer & Losers on BSE:
Bajaj FinServ, Bajaj Finance and Larsen & Toubro Ltd were the top Sensex gainers today, while Nestle India, NTPC and Power Grid Corporation of India were the top Sensex loser.
The indices traded in a higher manner in the broader markets, with the BSE Mid-cap index surging by 0.56% and the BSE Small-cap index surging by 0.82%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers are Emami Ltd and Vodafone Idea, while the top small-cap gainers were V.S.T.Tillers Tractors Ltd and Shivalik Bimetals Controls Ltd.

The indices were trading mixed on the sectoral front, with the BSE Industrials Index leading the gainers and BSE Consumer Durables Index leading the losers. The BSE Industrials Index soared by 0.85%, led by V.S.T.Tillers Tractors Ltd and Shivalik Bimetals Controls Ltd while the BSE Consumer Durables Index plunged by 0.08%, dragged down by Dixon Technology and Rajesh Exports.
