The Indian benchmark indices were trading lower with BSE Auto Index being the top-gaining sector, whereas BSE Realty Index was the top-losing sectoral indices. 

On Wednesday, the benchmark indices were trading lower with Sensex down around 260 points or 0.42% at 61,678 and the Nifty trading down by 65 points or 0.32% at 18,230. 

About 1,630 shares have advanced, 1,577 have declined and 151 were unchanged on BSE. 

Top Gainer & Losers on BSE: 

IndusInd Bank, Ultratech Cement and Mahindra & Mahindra were the top Sensex gainers today, while Infosys, Kotak Mahindra Bank and HCL Technologies were the top Sensex loser. 

The indices traded in a mixed manner in the broader markets, with the BSE Mid-cap index down by 0.25% and the BSE Small-cap index up by 0.12%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers are Exide Industries and Max Healthcare Institute, while the top small-cap gainers were Kaynes Technology India and Ddev Plasticks Industries Ltd.

The indices were trading mixed on the sectoral front, with the BSE Auto Index leading the gainers and BSE Realty Index being the losing sector. The BSE Auto Index soared by 0.30%, led by Hero Motor Corporation and MRF India whereas BSE Realty Index plunged by 1.65% dragged down by Macrotech Developers and Oberoi Realty Ltd.
