Open NSDL’s website, and select the option to link Aadhaar Number to Demat Account.”
Provide the name and ID of the Depository Participant, along with PAN details. The web portal will then seek a verification code, following which the individual has to select the option to ‘Proceed.’
After this, an OTP is generated by NSDL and sent on the registered phone number and email address.
After entering the OTP, the details of the online Demat Account will be shown on the screen. Check for any discrepancies and all the details, then select ‘Proceed.’
Once this is done, provide the required details, including 12-digit Aadhaar number and Date of Birth (DOB). Then, select the option to ‘Proceed.’
Another OTP is generated and sent to the registered phone number, which has been linked with to the Aadhaar and press submit
Voila! Aadhaar number is now linked to the Demat Account. An SMS and SMS and an email confirmation is sent. The individual can now start buying/selling stocks through the Trading Account.
