1. NALCO

NALCO has officially signed a mining lease deed for the combined Utkal-D and Utkal-E Coal Blocks with the District Collector of Angul on December 24, 2024. Present at the signing were Shri N S Subrahmanyam, EPO-ED (S&P), and Shri S S Patra, GGM (Coal Mines). This lease, valid until April 21, 2051, aims to elevate NALCO’s coal production capacity to 4.0 MTPA, strengthening the fuel supply for its Captive Power Plant.


2. NTPC Green Energy

On Thursday, NTPC Green Energy shares will be in focus as the 1-month lock-in period for 183 million shares ended, allowing them to trade freely on the market. These shares, previously restricted from being sold, are now eligible for open market transactions, potentially increasing the company's trading activity.


3. Gland Pharma

Gland Pharma announced that France’s Agence nationale de sécurité du médicament et des produits de santé (ANSM) completed a GMP inspection of Cenexi’s Fontenay Manufacturing Facility, a Gland Pharma subsidiary, from December 9–19, 2024. The inspection report issued on December 24 cited 10 observations. Cenexi is working closely with ANSM to resolve these issues and will update the stock exchanges as progress is made.


4. Panacea Biotec

Panacea Biotec secured a Letter of Award from UNICEF to supply 115 million doses of its bivalent oral polio vaccine (bOPV) in 2025. The agreement, worth $14.95 million (approximately ₹127 crore), covers vaccine supply for UNICEF’s programs across Africa and Asia, based on specific order requirements received throughout the year.


5. Ceigall India

Ceigall India’s subsidiary, Ceigall Ludhiana Bathinda Greenfield Highway, has signed a Concession Agreement with the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for a ₹981 crore project. This initiative involves constructing a six-lane, access-controlled Ludhiana-Bathinda Greenfield Highway section of NH-754AD, forming part of the Ludhiana-Ajmer Economic Corridor under the Bharatmala Pariyojna Phase-I program.
