Rupee Hits 3-Month High at 85.58 Amid Strong FII Inflows

By 5paisa 25 Mar 2025

On March 25, the rupee opened near a three-month high at 85.58 against the US dollar, erasing all losses for 2025.

The rupee's rise is attributed to strong foreign investment in domestic equities and bonds, driving the currency's appreciation.

Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) have invested over Rs 10,000 crore in the last two trading sessions, fueling the rupee's strength.

As FIIs poured funds into the market, the Nifty Index surged by over 5.5% in the past six sessions, reflecting strong investor confidence.

Currency experts predict strong support for the rupee around 85.40-85.50, with a potential rebound towards 86.50.
