Seasoned investor Radhakishan Damani recently increased his holdings in VST Industries, which increased the company’s stock price.
The stock price reached a high of Rs. 3819.005 per share on Tuesday against the closing price of Rs. 3685.25. Its stock price has hiked by 9% so far this year.
The transaction was done via a block deal where Damani purchased 2.33 lakh shares at 1.5% equity holdings. The shares were sold by HDFC Mutual Fund.
On 2nd January this year, HDFC Mutual Fund sold 2 lakh shares and Damani acquired 1.44% of the equity holding in that.
As of today, the total holdings of Damani in VST Industries stand at 35.85%. The company is involved in the business of making and distributing cigarettes.
