The shares of Power Grid Corporation of India soared up around 4% as the company won a competitive bid for building inter-state transmission systems.
The projects are based in Gujarat and Maharashtra and Power Grid will undertake this project on a build, own, operate, and transfer (BOOT) basis.
This news resulted in the company’s share price increasing 3.72% on Thursday reaching Rs. 284.55.
On Thursday, Power Grid’s stock traded in the range of Rs. 277.70 and Rs. 289.90 against the previous closing of Rs. 274.25.
Recently, the company also approved unsecured, non-convertible, non-cumulative, redeemable, taxable POWERGRID Bonds Issue(s) during FY 24-25, which would raise around Rs. 12,000 cr.
